At full strength, my Spartans could win this game at home but probably their most important player, Malik Hall (9.9 ppg, 4.1 rpg), re-injured his ankle in last Friday's loss at Illinois and apparently won't play. The injury is the third that Hall has suffered to his left foot and ankle this year. Entering Friday, Michigan State was 7-1 in games that Hall played in, had a Top-15 defense and the third-best 3-point defense in the country. Without him, the Spartans had a defense ranked outside of the Top 125. Good luck checking Wooden Award favorite Zach Edey without Hall.
