Neither one of these offenses has been efficient in conference play, which cancels out the speed at which St. Johns moves on offense for the most part. Extra possessions don't mean a lot when you aren't scoring on them. Plus, while Butler isn't great defensively, it's much stronger on the glass than St. Johns, which will limit the Red Storm's ability to get out in transition and will help keep these teams below the total.

The Bulldogs were targeted early as a regression candidate and there’s still some time to cash in while their rating is being adjusted for better performance. After starting the year 4-12 against the spread, Butler has covered six of its last eight and won two straight outright against Marquette and DePaul. St. John’s has been playing well and did steal a 75-72 win from the Bulldogs in Hinkle Fieldhouse earlier this month, but while a deserved favorite this is too many points for the Johnnies to lay in this spot.
