Understanding Public and Money

Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

Bruce's Analysis:

Unai Emery knows his way around European competitions; the Villa gaffer has lifted the Europa League trophy four times (three with Sevilla from 2014-16; also Villarreal in 2021), and has Villa poised to qualify for a bye in the next round and a straight ticket to the Round of 16 in this event. Villa's recent efforts include Ollie Watkins once again scoring goals (once each last two vs. Everton and Arsenal), and there have been at least three goals scored in eight of the last nine Villa matches. Monaco is not having the easiest time at the moment as it is winless in four, but there is still a sharp edge in attack led by Breel Embolo and Eliesse Ben Seghir. Play Monaco-Aston Villa Over

Jon's Analysis:

There are currently only two match days left for the group stage of Champions League. There are only three points separating third on the table Arsenal from 19th on the table Club Brugge. This means any team between those spots will be fighting like mad to finish in the top eight. Aston Villa and Monaco fall in this category. Monaco have been struggling defensively both in league play and UCL. A well-managed and fierce attacking Aston Villa side will look to strike on the road. Aston Villa are coming off a 2-2 draw against Arsenal and are unbeaten in their last five. They'll look to take three points off a Monaco side that has been limping through league play in the last month.
