FanDuel is one of the most popular sportsbooks in the country, generally occupying a top spot in total market share. The latest FanDuel promo code offers new users a "bet $5, get $150" bonus if your first bet wins.

Bet $5 Get $150 in Bonus Bets
if Your Bet Wins

In this in-depth review of FanDuel Sportsbook, we'll explain how the bonus code works and the features that make FanDuel so popular. We'll also share honest feedback on how it can be improved.

FanDuel Sportsbook promo code: Bet $5, get $150 in bonus bets if your bet wins

No FanDuel promo code is required at sign-up to lock in this bonus. Just click the CLAIM BONUS button on this page.

FanDuel offers new customers the ability to deposit as little as $5, and then make a first bet of at least $5. New users will receive $150 in bonus bets if their first bet wins. Plus, there are no minimum odds required and the first wager can be made on any sport or market. So you can bet $5 on the biggest favorite you can find, and if it cashes, you'll still score the $150 in bonus bets.

Bonus bets cannot be cashed out and must be wagered within the following seven days or they will expire. In addition to the bonus bets, any winning first bet earns the customer their winnings in cash.

Let's say you bet $10 on the Rams to beat the Vikings, and they do. You will receive your $10 back plus winnings from the bet in cash. FanDuel will also give you $150 in bonus bets. Bonus bets are not included in any cash winnings.

How to sign up for FanDuel Sportsbook and claim the promo code

  1. Click on the CLAIM BONUS button in this article
  2. Click the Join Now button at FanDuel.
  3. Select the state you're located in currently to begin the sign-up process.
  4. Fill in your personal details, including name, email, address, and date of birth.
  5. Submit the required identity verification documentation, such as a photo ID if requested.
  6. Make your first deposit of at least $5.
  7. Place your first wager of at least $5.
  8. FanDuel adds $150 in bonus bets to your account if your first bet wins.

FanDuel Sportsbook promos and other perks for existing users

Beyond the welcome bonus, FanDuel offers its existing users a large selection of daily and seasonal promos and bonuses.

Profit boosts

FanDuel routinely offers profit boosts for specific days or events, which in my experience have typically been either 30% or 50% boosts.

It also offers boost builders that allow players to add an extra 10% boost to every additional parlay leg after an initial three-leg parlay at a 15% boost. A 12-leg parlay maxes out the promotion at a 105% boost.

FanDuel is still among the best in the industry in terms of profit-boost offerings in my experience, but for me it has fallen behind DraftKings in terms of quality. I have noticed that in recent months my boost amounts and limits are lower at FanDuel and consequently, I am able to bet more and often get a slightly higher boost at DraftKings.

No Sweat Bets

FanDuel users can opt into no-sweat bet promotions throughout the year across many different sports, but in my experience I most often see them for football and basketball. A no-sweat bet allows bettors to place a bet and get the same amount back in bonus bets if it loses. Just apply the option in the bet slip after opting in before placing the bet. These will also be marked with a "no sweat" icon in your pending bets.

Parlay hub

Parlays and same-game parlays have become popular enough for FanDuel to create a Parlay Hub button in its menu of options at the top of the home screen.

Within this hub, you are presented with the day's most popular parlays. There is also a "next to start" tab to show pre-built parlays for games that will begin soon. Dropdown menus to filter by sport, odds and bet type are also included within FanDuel's parlay hub.

While it's fun and easy to use the parlay hub to find what other people are betting on, it's important to remember that parlays can be difficult to win, especially at longer odds.

Prop futures bets

One of my favorite features at FanDuel is the ability to parlay yardage or statistical/team achievements in football, basketball and baseball during their offseasons.

Which players will hit 30 home runs or rack up 1,000 receiving yards? Which teams will be division winners? Plus, you can combine over/under win totals in specific leagues. If you like the set-it-and-forget-it bets like I do, FanDuel is excellent in this area.

How does the FanDuel promo code compare to other sportsbook bonus offers?

The FanDuel welcome promo uses a very common "bet and get" structure. Here's what it looks like compared to other sportsbook welcome promos from around the industry.

SPORTSLINE

As you can see in the above table, promos come in all shapes and sizes. Here is a brief overview of each of the current offers:

DraftKings Sportsbook promo

Another bet and get offer is the current DraftKings promo, although DraftKings doesn't require your first bet to win in order to get the bonus bets. This offer comes with the same bonus bet value ($150) offered at FanDuel but in the form of six $25 bonus bet tokens.

BetMGM Sportsbook promo

The BetMGM promo code is a different type of welcome bonus that allows you to get "paid back" in bonus bets if your first bet doesn't win. This means that if your first bet at BetMGM loses, your stake will be refunded in bonus bets, up to $1,500.

Caesars Sportsbook promo

The current Caesars promo code offers 10 100% profit boosts after placing a first bet of at least $1. The maximum wager for each rewarded profit boost is $25, and the maximum additional winnings for each rewarded profit boost is $2,500.

Fanatics Sportsbook promo

Similar to BetMGM, the Fanatics promo offers the opportunity to get your money back on your first bet up to $100. Where it differs is this process continues over 10 days, for a total of up to $1,000 in bonus bets.

bet365 Sportsbook promo

Last but not least, the bet365 promo code also works as a bet and get, like FanDuel and DraftKings. The first $5 bet does not need to win to claim the bonus and the reward is $100 in bonus bets. This number is lower than what FanDuel and DraftKings are offering. Unlike FanDuel, bet365's promotion doesn't require the user's original bet to win.

A complete review of the FanDuel Sportsbook user experience

I find FanDuel to be one of the easiest sportsbooks to use with everything laid out clearly. Here's a detailed breakdown of the user experience.

fanduel-sportsbook-app.png

FanDuel Sportsbook and app design

FanDuel's design is part of its allure and is why I consider it one of the best sports betting apps. The sportsbook is aesthetically pleasing with easy-to-read text and color schemes. The sports menu down the left side of the desktop site and the top of the app makes every pick easy to navigate.

If there's one critique that I have, it's that there aren't as many sport-specific menus within sports compared to DraftKings, especially for player and team prop categories. Most of the same bets are available but must be accessed on a per-game basis rather than through the general menu.

Bet slip and process of placing a bet

I find that placing a bet is extremely simple on FanDuel. You just have to select the bets you would like, and they will appear in the bet slip on the right side of the desktop site or at the bottom of the app. If a promo that you have opted into from the Promotions tab applies to the bet, it will be shown in the bet slip with an option to toggle it on.

Furthermore, I find the bet slip has a clean look and the selections and odds are easily viewable in the bet slip, with the option for parlays, straight wagers, teasers and round robins given.

Same-game parlays

Creating a same-game parlay (SGP) at FanDuel is as simple as clicking the odds or props you want to include, and they will be placed in your bet slip. If FanDuel allows them to be combined into an SGP, you will see it in the bet slip with the odds offered.

Once you're in the bet slip, you can remove legs from the SGP via a red minus sign button. There is also an option to remove all selections, with a red trash can icon next to it.

Any traditional or prop betting market that is approved to be included in FanDuel SGPs will have a black and yellow SGP icon next to it. Just keep in mind that not every prop is allowed to be included in SGPs.

The odds offered at FanDuel for SGPs also take into account correlated legs. For example, an SGP that combines a wide receiver's Over for receptions and yards will have reduced odds because those outcomes have a positive correlation. However, a negative correlation in SGPs also creates much larger odds than you'd find in traditional parlays featuring legs with the same prices. An example of a negatively correlated SGP would be Under receptions + Over yards.

Bet tracking and My Bets

The My Bets tab at the top of the website and bottom of the app divides bets into several categories: open, settled, and saved. In each category, the player may toggle the state in which the bets are placed.

Open bets allow users to reuse the selections for a new bet or share via text or social media. Saved bets are an interesting feature for those who want to track certain bets separately from the rest of their open wagers.

Cash-out offers

Cash-outs allow players to end the bet prematurely, either before or during the event(s), to redeem a stake. In my experience, I find that FanDuel is fair with its cash-out offers, including for live games.

User experience final thoughts

FanDuel is one of the most popular sportsbooks in the industry for a reason as its website and app are easy to use. It is simple to create parlays and SGPs and to keep track of existing bets.

Overall, the sportsbook delivers a fresh look that I enjoy.

Quality of odds

FanDuel's odds are similar to other sportsbooks, though the vig (or juice) is sometimes divided differently. Instead of seeing -110 on both sides of a spread, you might see -112 and -108 or -114 and -106.

For parlay and SGP bettors, FanDuel is a fine option, but I'd always recommend shopping for the best price because you never know which sportsbook will offer the best SGP odds for the bets you're interested in.

For example, here are a couple of anytime touchdown SGPs from the 2025 Texans-Chiefs matchup in the NFL Divisional Round. The better odds varied between FanDuel and DraftKings.

Joe Mixon ATD + Nico Collins ATD

  • DraftKings: +585
  • FanDuel: +600

Kareem Hunt ATD + Xavier Worthy ATD

  • DraftKings: +800
  • FanDuel: +909

As for straight bettors, shopping around for the best NFL odds is always one of the best strategies to increase your chances of being a more successful bettor in the long run. It is not a good strategy to bet Chiefs -8.5, for example, if -7.5 is being offered at another sportsbook.

Overall, I would describe FanDuel's odds as fair, with few egregious instances of too much juice in markets.

FanDuel Sportsbook breaks down deposit and withdrawal methods into two categories when using the app: "Fast Deposit"/"Quick Withdrawal" and Other Methods. FanDuel never adds additional fees to deposits or withdrawals, but be aware of a couple of instances where you can still incur them. Credit card issuers can add fees for cash advances, and deposits into sportsbooks qualify as such. Banks may also add fees for wire transfers.

FanDuel Sportsbook customer support

Like most sportsbooks, FanDuel offers live chat, email and phone support. In my experience, the live chat is fast and responsive, though the site also has a significant FAQ section that is easy to navigate.

You can find the Contact Us link at the bottom of the home screen. To email FanDuel support directly, the address is support@help.fanduel.com.

When using the live chat function, an AI bot is the default setting. If you want a live agent, you will often have to ask to be transferred to one. You will also be required to verify your account before being able to get your questions answered by a live agent.

FanDuel Sportsbook Responsible Gaming tools

Located prominently towards the top of the site and the app, an RG logo is clickable and opens up a resource guide for Responsible Gaming. On the desktop site, the text at the top reads: "Gambling Problem? Call 1-800-NEXT-STEP or text NEXTSTEP to 53342".

About Responsible Gaming: This tab displays a one-minute video explaining the dangers of betting irresponsibly.

Global deposit limits: A brief explanation of how limits work on FanDuel.

User tools: A player can make all of the adjustments to their RG settings. A how-to video in this section is helpful, especially for those who may have additional questions about the following RG tools.

  • Loss limits
  • Wager limits
  • Maximum wager
  • Time limits
  • Timeouts
  • Self-exclusion
  • Reality checks
  • Player activity statements

Additional resources: More links to problem gambling resources that can be useful to those in need.

Additionally, FanDuel has tabs for account information, privacy policy, prohibitions and restrictions, and deposit thresholds, which provide more information.

Primarily, all of the most important RG features are located in the user tools section.

App Store rating and user feedback

FanDuel currently has the highest ratings and the most ratings on both the App Store and Google Play Store.

While you can find complaints about FanDuel's customer support in the reviews, the vast majority of ratings in the App Store and Google Play have given FanDuel Sportsbook five stars.

  • App Store Rating: 4.9 out of 5 stars (more than 1.7 million ratings) (as of 1/27/2025)
  • Google Play Rating: 4.7 out of 5 stars (more than 352,000 ratings) (as of 1/27/2025)

Other complaints I've seen about FanDuel focused on the fact that there's no rewards program, the maximum amount for no-sweat bets is too small and that there are too many generic responses from customer support.

Final verdict for FanDuel Sportsbook review

FanDuel is a top sportsbook with an easy-to-use interface that simplifies the user's betting journey. I find that its layout and sports menu options on the site's homepage and app's home screen are second to none in the U.S. sportsbook industry.

While this sports betting app doesn't offer as many bonus bets after the initial welcome bonus, it makes up for it with a plethora of promotions, including profit boosts and no-sweat bets for big games.

A perk of this sportsbook, similar to DraftKings, is that the balance can be used on the sister DFS, casino, and racebook sites, all of which I like to use from time to time.

Lastly, I find that the SGPs on FanDuel are easier to put together and often have better odds than those at its competitors.

Honest feedback on how FanDuel Sportsbook can improve

  • Institute a sportsbook rewards program. This is seems critical for customer satisfaction as, other than a functional sportsbook, there are not any loyalty perks for using FanDuel Sportsbook. This is especially frustrating since the daily fantasy platform has rewards.

  • Break out prop categories into menu items similar to DraftKings. If I want to bet player points, for example, I have to go into each game specifically. On DraftKings, a menu will navigate me through all of the games, which I find much more useful.
