Dallas has lost two straight and starts backup Casey DeSmith. He has run real hot and cold this season in limited action -- DeSmith won 2-1 at Utah on Dec. 2 but allowed 10 combined goals in his two starts prior. The HC was upset last night at home but didn't use No. 1 Karel Vejmelka in net. He has won four straight outings with just seven goals allowed and is down to a 2.29 GAA on the year. Utah has won six of its last eight games and has earned points in all eight of those contests. All we care about is a point here.
