Raptors vs. 76ers Thursday NBA injury report, spread, odds: Tobias Harris, Seth Curry could play; Pascal Siakam out

The 76ers might get back two starters on Thursday vs. Toronto.

While the Philadelphia 76ers remain without their two All-Stars in COVID-positive Joel Embiid and unhappy Ben Simmons, they could get back two starters from COVID/injury on Thursday against visiting Toronto in Tobias Harris and Seth Curry. The Raptors are in the second of a back-to-back and will rest former All-Star forward Pascal Siakam. The Sixers are -3 at Caesars Sportsbook.

Since Embiid tested positive for COVID, Philly is 0-2 straight up and ATS in losing at home to the Knicks and Bucks. He won't be back until next week at the earliest. Simmons may never play for the Sixers again. Harris, second on the team in scoring (19.8 ppg) and rebounding (9.0 rpg), hasn't played since Oct. 30 because he tested positive. Harris exited protocols today but it's far from a sure thing he plays with all that time away from the team and conditioning questions.

Harris is officially questionable as is Curry, who is third on the team in scoring at 16.8 ppg. He missed Tuesday's game with a foot injury but that might have been more because it was the second of a back-to-back. From this writer's opinion, Curry is more likely to play tonight than Harris. A few Sixers reserves (notably Matisse Thybulle) remain out in COVID protocols.

Siakam made his season debut off summer surgery on Sunday and the Raptors are 0-2 with him and on a three-game skid overall. They were beaten 104-88 in Boston on Wednesday with the Celtics leading wire-to-wire. Siakam was rather quiet with eight points and four turnovers in 30 minutes and the team doesn't want to push him in the second of a B2B yet. Raptors backup center Khem Birch also is out.

Philadelphia was 2-1 vs. Toronto last season but Embiid, Simmons and Harris played in all those.
