I absolutely can't believe that in their home finale and with a chance to finish with a winning record there, the Magic are sitting their entire starting five in what would have been an almost sure win against a Cavs team resting not only their starters but even most key reserves. This spread has been crazy. Anyways, I'd think Jalen Suggs becomes the featured scorer tonight (maybe co-featured with Cole Anthony) simply so the Magic can see if the former No. 5 overall pick is a big part of their long-term future because so far the answer is no. Suggs had eight points on Tuesday vs. Cleveland but the Magic had everyone healthy then and he played only 24 minutes. I expect closer to 34 here.
Going to play this lookahead line now as I don't know why the Cavs would play any key guys as they are now locked into the fourth seed in the East and it's their road finale (mentioned this on Twitter earlier; the Knicks tonight are in the same boat locked into No. 5). Rising Orlando has a chance to finish 21-20 at home and hung within four against these Cavs on Tuesday. Almost took Magic to win outright but why pass up a gift of 4? Update: My intuition was correct as Cleveland has ruled just about everyone out so this is now off the board. Orlando will now be a solid favorite and a good ML option if it's reasonable.
