No time for the Braves to take it easy, not with the Mets breathing down their necks for the last NL wild card spot. With wins in seven straight, NY has pulled within a half-game of Atlanta into today. The Braves have at least held serve in this series vs. the Rockies, winning the first two and allowing just 2 runs in the process. The Run Line thus intrigues with the Colorado offense stalled again, and big pressure on Austin Gomber (3-7 with a 4.89 ERA on the road) to keep the Rockies close. Good news for Atlanta with Reynaldo Lopez spinning a 1.59 ERA in three starts since his mid-August return, and sharp last Friday vs. the Phils. Play Braves on Run Line

Austin Gomber is a guy we fade like crazy. His ERA is 4.89 on the road and 5.90 his last 15 starts and the Rox are 2-8 in his last 10 road starts with 6 losses on RL. He's allowed 4 ER or more in 9 of his last 15 starts. Rockies are terrible on road (19-51 entering Wed) and Bravos hanging tough in playoff push. Reynaldo Lopez had a 1.72 ERA at home and Braves are 14-8 when he pitches with 12 wins by 2+. His last 6 home wins have all been by multiple runs. Of last 11 COL losses on road entering Wed, 10 were by 2+ runs.
