Here is a rematch from last week, but hardly sure the Pirates are thrilled about that after losing all three to San Diego at PNC Park. All part of a very tough patch at the moment for Pittsburgh, in the midst of a seven-game skid that seems to have put-paid any chances for an NL wild card berth. So uncomfy with the prospect of Marco Gonzales (8.48 ERA last three starts) on the mound that Derek Shelton has switched to ex-Chisox Jake Woodford and his 7.41 ERA. SD still 16-3 across its last 19 even after the loss on Sunday in Miami, with Joe Musgrove slated to return to active duty on the mound tonight after elbow issues. Play Padres on Run Line

Former Pirate Joe Musgrove returns to a big-league mound for the first time since late May off the injured list for the Padres. Pittsburgh used closer David Bednar for 1.2 innings on Sunday in a loss at the Dodgers so he's surely not available here. It's Jake Woodford (0-3, 7.41 ERA) starting for the Bucs. Over his three appearances since being called up from Triple-A Indianapolis in late July, Woodford has allowed seven runs in 8.2 innings. I'm obviously fine with a push here.
