Honestly, I don’t trust Nick Pivetta much and I don’t trust the Red Sox bullpen. However, Pivetta did pitch well in his most recent start against the Yankees last season and the Yankees bullpen isn’t is too much of a better place. Luis Severino is making just his fourth start since 2019 and he has pitched just 18 innings since then. He also seriously struggled in Spring Training walking a lot of batters while striking out fewer than normal. These teams are about as evenly matched as two teams get and either team could win any game when they get together. Take the value in the Red Sox.
