I was a bit on the fence for this one, but that Red Sox All-Star shortstop Xander Bogaerts is back in the lineup after missing Saturday's 3-1 loss -- New York's first win of the season against the Sox -- now has me on the Boston runline. New York is really banged up and starting the laughable outfield of Ryan LaMarre in left, Greg Allen in center and Trey Amburgey in right. Seriously, I had to look up who one of those guys was and I do this for a living (I'll never say which). Boston pitcher Martin Perez has been much better away from home (2.04 ERA).
I am going to jump all over the Red Sox again after last night’s game. The Red Sox were up 1-0 while no-hitting the Yankees before it started raining. The Yankees were able to squeeze three runs in to win a 6-inning game 3-1. But it is the Yankees bullpen that is struggling without Jonathan Loaisiga and a sharp Aroldis Chapman right now. Jamison Taillon has been much better at home this season but the Red Sox have seen him once and scored three runs in 5.1 IP. Martin Perez is much better on the road with a 2.04 ERA and the Yankees have struggled against lefties this season. Take the Red Sox.
