The 2025 UFL season is officially underway, and based on the first week of action, the upstart football league will have a high amount of parity this spring. The defending league champion Birmingham Stallions lost their opener 18-11 to the D.C. Defenders. The San Antonio Brahmas, who lost to Birmingham in the 2024 UFL Championship Game, were blown out in their opener, losing to the Arlington Renegades 33-9. One of the more impressive teams in the first week of the season was the St. Louis Battlehawks, who defeated the Houston Roughnecks 31-6.
