This Saturday, UFC fight night features a Heavyweight battle between New Zealand's own Mark Hunt (-110) and Derrick Lewis (-120).

Mark Hunt, 43, has been an MMA fan favorite for years with his aggressive standup style and granite chin. In Hunt's last fight in March, he was finished in the 3rd round by Alistair Overeem.

In July 2016, Hunt lost to Brock Lesnar but the fight was later changed to a no-contest. Lesnar did little other than just hold Hunt down.

Hunt has some of the best power shots in the division, and all you need to know is he was able to finish tough guy Roy Nelson with basically a one-punch knockout.

The problem with Hunt is he usually takes four or five shots just to throw one. If he doesn't get a finish, it leads to him getting way behind on the scorecard.

Derrick Lewis has a chance to become a big player in the Heavyweight division.

He's coming off a nice KO win over Travis Browne back in February. Lewis has won his last six fights and gets better every time.

You can really see his confidence growing. Lewis also likes a striking contest, but unlike Hunt, he prefers to set up his punches rather than go for the home run with every swing.

Unless both fighters get tired, don't look for much grappling in this fight.

Lewis will employ his huge reach advantage, using his jab to build up points and set up his big punches against the much shorter Hunt

Hunt will take a few punches to get inside, trying to land land the one big shot. Even though Hunt will have a huge home octagon advantage, I don't think he has enough to get past the up and comer Lewis.

Look for Lewis to get a decision win or a late finish against Hunt in the main event.

    Pick: Lewis (-120)

In a Middleweight fight, Derek Brunson (-260) faces Australian Daniel Kelly (+210).

Kelly, a four-time Olympian in Judo, should also get a huge lift from the crowd. He has only one loss on his resume and has won four in a row. In March, he took a split decision over former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Rashad Evans.

Brunson was closing in on a possible title fight when he was finished in the 1st round by Robert Whittaker in November 2016.

His last fight in February was a unanimous decision loss to Anderson Silva. But most shrewd observer through Brunson won.

On paper, this seems like a pretty easy spot for Brunson. But there are several things that could work against him, which you never want when asked to lay a sizable favorite.

The crowd will be solidly behind Kelly, which can sometimes influence the judges. And this could be a huge lookahead spot for Brunson as he might take Kelly lightly.

I'm taking Kelly as a value play as I feel this fight will be much closer than the oddsmakers have it.

    Pick: Kelly (+210)

    2017 record: 12-14 (-2.15 units)
