We only cashed one out of three last Saturday, leaving us 4-3 in 2017 at a slight profit.
This Saturday night from Houston, Featherweights Dennis Bermudez and Chan Sung Jung battle in the main event.
Bermudez, a mainstay in the lower weight divisions of the UFC, is coming off two decision wins in 2016 and should be primed for a top performance against Jung.
Bermudez also owns a split decision win in 2013 over current interim Featherweight champion Max Holloway.
Jung was last seen in the octagon back in 2013 losing by a 4th-round KO to then-Featherweight champion Jose Aldo. But he has always been a fan favorite for his aggressive style.
I have to back Bermudez as I just can't play a fighter who hasn't fought in over three years.
Pick: Bermudez (-170)
Also on the main card, there's a Lightweight fight between Abel Trujillo and James Vick.
Vick's only loss in 10 fights was his last one when he got KO'ed by highly-ranked Lightweight Beneil Dariush in the first round.
This is a tough fight to handicap, but I lean to Vick, who just seems to have the better overall game.
Pick: Vick (-115)
Veteran Heavyweight Anthony Hamilton (-170) takes on UFC newcomer Marcel Fortuna (+140) in another intriguing fight.
Hamilton, who has traded wins and losses in his last eight fights, has KO power in both hands and could make it a short night for Fortuna, who hasn't fought in almost two years.
Pick: Hamilton (-170)
