UFC 209: Odds moving wrong way on Woodley-Thompson rematch

SportsLine expert Hugh Citron explains why you should back the underdog, Tyron Woodley, at UFC 209 on Saturday night.

What: UFC 209, Woodley vs. Thompson 2

    When: Sat., March 4

    Where: T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas

    Times: Prelims 8 p.m. ET on FS1; Main card 10 p.m. ET on Pay-Per-View

    Odds: Thompson (-160), Woodley (+130)

This Saturday in Las Vegas, Tyron Woodley defends his Welterweight title against Stephen Thompson. This is a rematch from last November which ended in a majority draw, letting Woodley retain his title.

This fight opened close to a pick-'em and has steadily drifted up in Thompson's favor. I don't agree with the move, as I feel Woodley didn't have his best night the first time they met.

I still think Woodley won the first fight, and getting +130 seems like some good value. Take Tyron Woodley to acquit himself better this time and hold on to the title.

    Pick: Woodley (+130)

The Interim Lightweight title between undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson has been canceled due to Nurmagomedov being sent to the hospital. I had liked Ferguson as a +155 underdog.

    2017 Record: 6-8 (-3.0 units)
