Toledo vs. Miami (OH) odds, line, picks: Predictions for Saturday's MAC Championship from advanced computer model

SportsLine's projection model has generated selections for Saturday's MAC title game between the Rockets and RedHawks

The Toledo Rockets (11-1, 8-0) attempt to repeat as conference champions when they face the Miami (OH) RedHawks (10-2, 7-1) in the 2023 MAC Championship Game on Saturday. Toledo defeated Ohio 17-7 to win the title last year and look to become the first team to capture back-to-back crowns since Northern Illinois (2011-12). Miami (OH) last appeared in the championship game in 2019, when it posted a 26-21 victory against Central Michigan. The Rockets defeated the RedHawks 21-17 in their regular-season matchup.

Kickoff at Ford Field in Detroit is set for noon ET. The Rockets are 7-point favorites in the latest Toledo vs. Miami (OH) odds, while the over/under for total points scored is 43.5. Toledo is the -300 favorite (risk $300 to win $100) on the money line (see up-to-date odds for every game this week on our college football odds page).

Before you make any Miami (OH) vs. Toledo picks or college football predictions, you NEED to see the predictions from SportsLine's proven computer model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every FBS college football game 10,000 times. Since its inception, it has generated a strong profit of well over $2,000 for $100 players on its top-rated college football picks against the spread. It finished the 2023 regular season a profitable 13-9 on top-rated spread picks. Anyone who has followed it has seen HUGE returns!

The model knows Toledo has reeled off 11 consecutive victories since losing its season opener at Illinois, which is the team's longest winning streak since a 12-game run that bridged the 2000 and 2001 campaigns. The Rockets ended the regular season with a 32-17 triumph at Central Michigan as Peny Boone led a ground attack that racked up 261 yards by gaining 186 and rushing for two touchdowns. The junior is fifth in the nation with 1,359 rushing yards and tied for eighth with 15 TD runs.

The model also is aware that Miami (OH) defeated Ball State 17-15 on the road in its finale for its fourth straight win and first 10-win regular season since 2003. Redshirt sophomore Aveon Smith improved to 4-0 since top quarterback Brett Gabbert suffered a season-ending leg injury in the setback against Toledo as he threw for a season-high 170 yards and a touchdown. Also a redshirt sophomore, running back Rashad Amos ran for a TD to extend his streak to five games with a rushing score and increase his total to 10 in his first season with the RedHawks after spending two at South Carolina.

Now, the model has set its sights on Saturday's Toledo vs. Miami (OH) MAC Championship matchup. We can tell you it is leaning Over on the total, and it also says one side of the spread hits more than 50% of the time. You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any college football picks!
