Thunder vs. Cavaliers line, picks: Advanced computer NBA model releases selections for Saturday matchup

SportsLine's projection model generated selections for Saturday's matchup between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers host the Oklahoma City Thunder in a prime time showdown at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday. Cleveland is favored by 12 points at home, while the Over-Under is set at 207.5 at Caesars Sportsbook (see up-to-date odds for every game this week on our NBA odds page).

Before making any Thunder vs. Cavaliers picks, you NEED to check out the NBA predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every NBA game 10,000 times and has returned well over $10,000 in profit on its top-rated NBA picks over the past three-plus seasons. The model enters Week 14 of the 2021-22 NBA season on a stunning 56-30 roll on all top-rated NBA picks, returning over $2,200. Anyone following it has seen HUGE returns.

The model knows the Thunder are strong in ball security on offense, committing fewer than 14 turnovers per game. From there, Oklahoma City's above-average defense takes over. The Thunder allow less than 1.1 point per possession, with opponents shooting under 45 percent from the field and 52 percent on 2-point attempts against Oklahoma City. The Thunder are in the top five of the NBA in free-throw attempts allowed (19 per game), with the No. 2 mark in the league in fast-break points allowed.

The model also knows the Cavaliers are excellent on defense. Cleveland is giving up 105.4 points per 100 possessions, a top-three mark in the NBA, and opponents are shooting only 50.5 percent on 2-point shots. The Cavaliers are also holding opponents to 34.2 percent from 3-point range, and Cleveland is No. 1 in the NBA in free-throw attempts allowed at 17.9 per game. Cleveland is in the top 10 of the league in assists allowed and second-chance points allowed, with the Thunder ranking last in the NBA in scoring.

Now, it has set its sights on Thunder vs. Cavaliers. We can tell you the model is leaning under the total, and it also says one side of the spread hits in 60 percent of simulations! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any NBA picks.
