Tennessee vs. Alabama odds, line, spread: Proven model reveals college football picks, predictions for Week 8, 2021, SEC crossover matchup

The SportsLine projection model has a pick for the clash between the Tennessee Volunteers and Alabama Crimson Tide

The fourth-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide will look to continue their dominance over the Tennessee Volunteers when they meet in a key SEC crossover matchup on Saturday night. Alabama has won 14 consecutive games in the series.

Kickoff from Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala., is set for 7 p.m. ET. The Volunteers are 4-3 overall and 2-2 in the SEC East following a 31-26 loss to Ole Miss last Saturday. The Crimson Tide are 6-1 overall and 3-1 in the SEC West after beating Mississippi State 49-9 last week.

The Tide are led by sophomore quarterback Bryce Young, who continues to light up opposing defenses. For the year, he has completed 156 of 224 passes (69.6 percent) for 2,082 yards and 24 touchdowns. He has been intercepted just three times and has a rating of 180.4. Young is coming off a dominant effort against Mississippi State, when he completed 20 of 28 passes (71.4 percent) for 348 yards and four TDs.

The Volunteers are hopeful junior running back Tiyon Evans will be able to go this week after tweaking his ankle and missing the game against Mississippi. Quarterback Hendon Hooker (leg) is considered day-to-day. Defensively, the Volunteers are led by junior linebacker Jeremy Banks. He leads the team in tackles with 48, including 27 solo, with 4 ½ sacks for 25 yards. He also has one pass breakup and one interception he returned 32 yards. He was a beast in last week's loss to Ole Miss, making 15 tackles, including nine solo, with one sack. He has registered at least one sack in each of the last three games.

The Crimson Tide are favored by 25.5 points in the latest Tennessee vs. Alabama odds from Caesars Sportsbook, and the over-under is set at 68. Before entering any Tennessee vs. Alabama picks, you'll want to see the college football predictions from the model at SportsLine.
