Stanford vs. Hawaii line, picks: Advanced computer college football model releases prediction, best bets for Friday night's matchup

SportsLine's projection model generated CFB picks for Friday's Stanford vs. Hawaii Week 1 matchup

After a valiant fourth quarter despite falling short to Vanderbilt in Week 0, the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors open their 2023 home schedule on Friday night against the Stanford Cardinal. Kickoff is set at 11 p.m. ET from the Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex in Honolulu and the game will be televised by CBS Sports Network. This is only the teams' fourth matchup all-time and first since 1972 with Stanford having won the previous three games. The Cardinal are 3-point favorites, while the over/under is set at 55 (see up-to-date odds for every game this week on our college football odds page) in the latest Stanford vs. Hawaii odds.

Before making any Hawaii vs. Stanford picks, you NEED to check out the college football predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every FBS college football game 10,000 times. Since its inception, the proprietary computer model has generated a stunning profit of almost $2,500 for $100 players on its top-rated college football picks against the spread. Anyone who has followed it has seen HUGE returns.

The model knows that the Cardinal are rebuilding under new head coach Troy Taylor, who joined the program after having been the coach of FCS Sacramento State since 2019. Stanford only returns three starters each on offense and defense, so Taylor's team might not gel as quickly at the season's outset. They do return sophomore running back E.J. Smith, who rushed for 206 yards on 30 carries and three touchdowns in two games before being ruled out for the rest of the 2022 season.

The model also knows that the Rainbow Warriors have improved over their 3-10 record last season. Last Saturday night, they scored two late touchdowns at Vanderbilt and had a chance to tie the game in the final minutes, ultimately falling short, 35-28. Last season the Commodores won this matchup in Honolulu, 63-10, so it appears the Rainbow Warriors will be far more competitive in 2023.

Now, it has set its sights on Stanford vs. Hawaii. We can tell you the model is leaning Under on the point total, and it also says one side of the spread hits in well over 50% of simulations! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any college football picks.
