Reading Between the Lines: Vegas Fantasy Football Focus – Week 5, 2019
Vegas lines are more than just a predictor of the final score of games. They also can be a secret weapon in Fantasy football.
Before you start using them to crush your Fantasy week-to-week lineups, you'll want to hear what Fantasy analyst Jen Ryan has to say. She's a contributor at FootballDiehards.com and on SiriusXMFantasy's "Football Diehards" show. Ryan, who has been an FSWA finalist for "Best Football Series," goes in-depth every week on SportsLine on using Vegas lines to make Fantasy decisions in both season-long and daily.
One tip we'll give away for Week 5: Ryan is high on Cowboys running Ezekiel Elliott as Dallas takes on Green Bay as 3.5-point favorites.
"Ezekiel Elliott ($8,300 on DraftKings, $8,800 on FanDuel) will eat this week against the Packers bottom-three ranked defense against the run," Ryan said. "They've allowed five rushing touchdowns this season and running backs are averaging 143 yard per game against them. Being that Dallas has completely moved away from giving Tony Pollard ($4,400 on DraftKings, $5,000 on FanDuel) much opportunity, expect Zeke to go over the century mark this week."
Ryan has also identified an undervalued wide receiver set to see a HUGE amount of targets. This player can give you a huge edge in your Week 5 DFS and season-long Fantasy picks.
