Reading Between the Lines: Vegas Fantasy Football Focus – Week 2, 2019
Vegas lines are more than just a predictor of the final score of games. They also can be a secret weapon in Fantasy football.
Before you start using them to crush your Fantasy week-to-week lineups, you'll want to hear what Fantasy analyst Jen Ryan has to say. She's a contributor at FootballDiehards.com and on SiriusXMFantasy's "Football Diehards" show. Ryan, who has been an FSWA finalist for "Best Football Series," goes in-depth every week on SportsLine on using Vegas lines to make Fantasy decisions in both season-long and daily.
One tip we'll give away for Week 2: Ryan is loving Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray in a game against the Ravens (-13.5) where oddsmakers predict Arizona will be playing from way behind.
"Kyler Murray's ($5,400 on DraftKings, $6,500 on FanDuel) debut went a bit overlooked with all the stellar quarterback play in Week 1," Ryan said. "He orchestrated a hell of a drive to tie the game and force it into overtime, which ultimately ended in a tie. His day ended with 29 completions on 54 attempts for 308 yards, two touchdowns, and a pick. Really a nice debut, and a nice price tag for a player who is projected to be playing from all the way behind."
Ryan has also identified an overlooked tight end you should be buying the hype on. This player can give you a huge EDGE in your Week 2 DFS and season-long Fantasy picks.
