NBA
Last year, two 9-7 teams qualified the NFL playoffs, but three didn’t. The year before, teams needed a 10-6 record to get to the postseason.
Teams that sit on that 5-4 or 4-5 mark with seven games to go aren’t literally in “must win” mode -- but they are getting close to it.
That makes Week 11 a huge week for the 10 teams in that boat. There are also six teams at 3-6 that absolutely need a turnaround.
The Ravens (4-5) face the Packers (5-4), two teams trying to keep up with their divisional leaders.
Two NFC contenders on the ropes, the Redskins (4-5) and Falcons (5-4), are on the road against favored opponents.
The Cowboys (5-4) could really use a win when they host the NFC East-leading Eagles (8-1). Same goes for the Raiders (4-5), who head south of the border to face the Patriots (7-2).

After this weekend, the Browns, 49ers and Giants will have company in the “maybe next year” grouping.
