* Odds to win the World Series

Via Bovada.lv (@BovadaLV on Twitter) come the following updated World Series odds.

As you're about to see, a certain AL East team from the north of the border is the new favorite ...

At this writing, the Jays have won 10 in a row and 13 of 14 overall. They've moved into first place in the AL East, they now boast the best run differential in all of baseball, and they also grade out as baseball's best according to the BaseRuns system.

Given all that, the numbers you see aren't terribly surprising. After the pre-deadline additions of Troy Tulowitzki and David Price, yes, the Jays are indeed certifiable World Series contenders.

So what does SportsLine say? In Nick Kostos' piece on the best plays down the stretch, here's what he says about the surging Jays ...

Plus, the Jays' starting rotation -- the weak link of the team throughout a middling first half of the season -- has been dominant as of late, leading the majors with an ERA of 1.92 since Tulowitzki's debut.

Guys like R.A. Dickey and Marco Estrada have stepped up. And the bullpen, which has been horrific for much of the campaign, was fortified by adding Mark Lowe and LaTroy Hawkins. ...

We could very well be on a crash course for the Blue Jays and Royals in the ALCS. Don't be shocked if Toronto hosts Game 1 of the World Series.
