Odds Slightly Favor Steelers Keeping Antonio Brown
Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is entering the final year of his contract. Here are the odds that he and the team agree on a long-term extension.
Recently, Pittsburgh Steelers wideout Antonio Brown told Dan Patrick on his daily radio show, "I'll be a Steeler for life, that's my plan. We're beginning to get (a new contract) rolling."
Steelers President Art Rooney added, according to 247Sports, "Our intention is to get a contract extension done with Antonio. We've got a number of contract situations that we've got to look at this offseason and Le'Veon's situation is certainly one of them. Our goal is to have him on our team for the long-term, so we'll see what the best way is to address it."
Brown is entering the final year of his contract.
He's reportedly seeking $16 million per season in an extension. Franchising a wide receiver last season would have cost $14.5 million.
But with LeVeon Bell and Brown's futures in question, will the latter remain a Steeler beyond the final year of his deal via extension or franchise tag?

The superstar landed in hot water with Steelers brass for posting a Facebook live video following the team's playoff win against Kansas City. Head coach Mike Tomlin called him "foolish" and "selfish".
