NFL Survivor Pool: Week 2, 2024 pick from advanced computer model

Don't lock in your NFL Week 2 survivor pick until you see the play from the SportsLine Projection Model

Many NFL survivor pool picks fell in Week 1 and didn't even get the chance to make Week 2 NFL knockout pool picks. The Bengals were the biggest favorite of the opening week, only to lose to New England. If you were fortunate enough to not select Cincinnati, or any other team that lost its season-opener, then you'll be on high alert with your Week 2 NFL survivor picks. There are no guarantees when it comes to big favorites, and the Week 2 NFL schedule has several of them, including the Ravens (-8.5) vs. Raiders, Eagles (-6) vs. Falcons,  and Cowboys (-6.5) vs. Saints.

Before you make your Week 2 NFL survivor pool picks or NFL knockout pool picks, you NEED to see which team the SportsLine Projection Model is backing.

The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up well over $7,000 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception. The model enters Week 2 of the 2024 NFL season on an incredible 184-130 run on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season. It is also on a 38-22 roll on top-rated NFL picks since Week 7 of 2022.

The model also ranked in the top 10 on NFLPickWatch four of the past six years on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 94 percent of CBS Sports Football Pick'em players four times during that span. Anyone who has followed it is WAY UP!

The model can be used to crush the Survivor Pool format, which calls for picking one team to win each week but never using the same team twice.

In Week 1, the model recommended the Saints as its top survivor pick. New Orleans won in 79% of SportsLine's simulations, and the Saints dominated Carolina, 47-10, in what was the most lopsided game of the opening week.

In Week 2 of the 2024 NFL season, we can tell you the model is shying away from the Seahawks (-3.5, 38.5), even though they're coming off a Week 1 victory and are favored over the Patriots. Seattle took care of business at home over a Denver team it was expected to defeat in Week 1, while the Patriots authored the season's first big upset. They went on the road as 9.5-point underdogs and knocked off the Bengals, forcing two turnovers. Seattle struggled holding onto the ball against a Denver defense that ranked 27th in scoring and 29th in yards allowed a year ago, as the Seahawks gave the ball away twice. While the Seahawks are projected to win in almost 60% of simulations, the model is saving Seattle for another week.

Instead, the model is backing a SURPRISING team that wins outright in almost 80% of simulations! Picking this team will put you in the optimal position to win your NFL survivor pool. You NEED to see which team the model is backing before locking in your NFL survivor picks!
