NFL 2023 Week 17 lookahead lines, picks: Three games to bet a week early from proven NFL expert
We took the bait. Excuse us while we remove the hook from our mouth.
We assumed Tampa Bay would feel the big chill on the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field and bow to Green Bay. We thought Jacksonville would push Baltimore to the brink. Nope. And nope.
The Bucs, blessed by downright balmy weather and white-hot Baker Mayfield's perfect passer rating, stomped on the Packers. The Jaguars, cursed by Lamar Jackson and a paucity of offense, were overwhelmed by the Ravens.
Hence, the Jags' 2.5 points against Tampa Bay on the lookahead lines vanished. It's a pick 'em. Picking 'em can be tricky, no?
We did get positive movement, if slight, on another lookahead choice. Las Vegas, +10.5 last week, stands at an even 10 at Kansas City. Did you miss it when we predicted the Raiders would ring up 63 points on the Chargers? (No, you didn't... because we didn't.)
The spread on our other recommendation — Detroit -3 at Minnesota — has not budged.
Let's go fishing for three picks on the Week 17 lookahead Iines.
