Future Hall of Famer Justin Verlander faces his former team, the Houston Astros, for the first time since leaving the franchise in the offseason when he and the New York Mets square off against the Astros on Tuesday at Minute Maid Park in Houston. After being acquired by the Astros at the trade deadline in 2017, Verlander helped the team win two World Series titles - '17 and '22. In the offseason he signed a two-year, $86.6 million contract with the Mets.
