Before you lock in your plays for Sunday's Detroit at Dallas NFL game, check out our full betting preview

A three-game winning streak is on the line when the Detroit Lions visit the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday for a battle between two of the top NFC teams during Week 6 of the 2024 NFL season. Detroit (3-1), which is coming off its first division title since 1993, posted back-to-back victories against the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks before its Week 5 bye. Dallas (3-2) returns home after recording road triumphs over the New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers in its last two contests. Including the postseason, the Cowboys are 19-12 all-time against the Lions and have won each of their last six meetings - a streak that began with a 24-20 home victory in the 2014 Wild Card Round.

The teams met in Week 17 last season in Dallas, where the Cowboys overcame a deficit in the fourth quarter and registered a 20-19 win. Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott completed 26-of-38 pass attempts for 345 yards and a pair of touchdowns, including one to CeeDee Lamb. The 25-year-old wideout finished with 13 receptions for a career-high 227 yards.

Detroit's Jared Goff established an NFL record in the team's 42-29 home triumph over Seattle in Week 4. The 29-year-old completed all 18 of his throws in the win, giving him the most attempts without an incompletion in a game in league history. The previous mark was held by Kurt Warner, who was 10-of-10 for the Arizona Cardinals against the Houston Texans in 2005.

Goff finished with 292 yards and two scoring passes against the Seahawks while also making the first TD catch of his career. He hauled in a 7-yard toss from Amon-Ra St. Brown in the third quarter before throwing an 8-yard touchdown pass to the wideout in the fourth, making them the eighth duo in NFL history to accomplish such a feat in a game.

Goff also connected with St. Brown for a touchdown in last year's meeting between Detroit and Dallas. For their Week 6 matchup on Sunday, the Lions are 3-point favorites in the latest odds via SportsLine consensus, while the over/under for total points is 52.
