Hawks vs. Heat line, picks: Advanced computer NBA model releases selections for Game 2 matchup

SportsLine's projection model generated selections for Tuesday's Game 2 matchup between the Atlanta Hawks and the Miami Heat

The Miami Heat host the Atlanta Hawks for Game 2 of a first round series at 7:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday. Miami is favored by 7.5 points at Caesars Sportsbook, while the Over-Under is set at 219.5 (see up-to-date odds for every game this week on our NBA odds page).

Before making any Hawks vs. Heat picks, you NEED to check out the NBA predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every NBA game 10,000 times and has returned well over $10,000 in profit for $100 players on its top-rated NBA picks over the past three-plus seasons. The model enters the first full week of the 2022 NBA playoffs on a stunning 86-56 roll on all top-rated NBA picks, returning almost $2,400. Anyone following it has seen HUGE returns!

The model knows the Hawks struggled in Game 1, but Atlanta is dynamic on offense. The Hawks finished the regular season with the No. 2 offense in the NBA, scoring more than 115 points per 100 possessions. Atlanta also takes care of the ball, committing fewer than 12 turnovers per game to lead the league. The Hawks were in the top four of the NBA in free throw accuracy, 3-point accuracy, and assist-to-turnover ratio in the regular season, and Atlanta will be motivated to bounce back from an opening dud in Miami.

The model also knows the Heat displayed upside in Game 1. Miami held Atlanta to 0.94 points per possession, suffocating the Hawks from start to finish. The Heat also scored nearly 1.19 points per possession in the series opener, making 18 of 38 attempts from 3-point range. For the season, Miami led the NBA in 3-point accuracy at 37.9 percent, and the Heat are also in the top eight in free throw accuracy, assists per game and assist percentage.

Now, it has set its sights on Hawks vs. Heat. We can tell you the model is leaning over the total, and it also says one side of the spread hits in well over 60 percent of simulations! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any NBA picks.
