Green Bay Packers-Atlanta Falcons Projected Final Score Revealed

An NFC Championship rematch could be a shootout, but will it live up to the hype? And which team comes out on top? SportsLine's Projection Model makes a pick.

A rematch of last year's NFC Championship provides the Game of the Week, set for Sunday night at 8:30 p.m. ET from Atlanta.

SportsLine Projection Model’s score: Falcons 30, Packers 26

Vegas line: Atlanta opened at -1, but is now sitting at -3 (O/U 54)

CBS SPORTS: WEEK 2 FANTASY CHEAT SHEET

Both the Packers and Falcons are known for having high-octane offenses and being just good enough on defense. But each team flipped the script in Week 1.

Green Bay won a 17-9 slugfest with Seattle, another top NFC contender.

SPORTSLINE: COWBOYS-BRONCOS FINAL SCORE PROJECTED

The Packers held the Seahawks to just 225 yards of total offense, and a key third-quarter turnover led to one of the game’s two TDs.

The Falcons were pushed to the limit at Chicago, but an 88-yard TD pass to tight end Austin Hooper and a final stop on the Bears’ last drive secured a 23-17 win. Atlanta’s defense allowed 301 yards.

But, we’ll see how these defenses do against the likes of Aaron Rodgers and Matt Ryan. Green Bay’s D ranked 31st against the pass last year, Atlanta’s was 28th.

In last year's NFC title game, Ryan threw for 392 yards and four TDs, Rodgers went for 287 yards and three TDs in the Falcons' 44-21 win.

SportsLine simulated the game 10,000 times. Matt Ryan throws for 314 yards and 2.09 TDs and Julio Jones catches 6.5 balls for 108 yards. Aaron Rodgers passes for 290 yards and 2.00 TDs, Ty Montgomery runs 12.8 times for 70 yards and Jordy Nelson catches 6.4 passes for 75 yards.

Who should you pick in every Week 2 NFL game? Who wins the Packers-Falcons shootout? And what road favorite goes down hard? Join SportsLine now to get every pick from the model that would have won over 96 percent of CBS office pool leagues last season and find out.
