Golf Picks: Wells Fargo winners and DFS lineup

The Wells Fargo Championship is next up on the PGA Tour calendar. Our Robby Kalland shares his best bets and Daily Fantasy lineup.

The PGA Tour rolls into Charlotte this week for the Wells Fargo Championship, the final tuneup ahead of the Players Championship.

The field is strong this week with defending champion Rory McIlroy headlining a group that includes Rickie Fowler, Adam Scott, Justin Rose, Henrik Stenson and more.

McIlroy has dominated this event recently, with two wins and three other top 10s since 2010, but at 4/1 you won't get much return on investment if you take Rory this week.

I'll be looking for some value further down the board and hoping McIlroy falls short in his repeat bid.

    My Foursome

Patrick Reed (22/1): Reed's been solo-second twice this season on the PGA Tour and has seven total top 10 finishes. He's bound to get a win one of these weeks, and he's coming off of a second in Texas two weeks ago, so he's in excellent form. I think this is the week he breaks through for his first win of the season.

Phil Mickelson (25/1): I know Phil hasn't won since 2013, but he's been close the last three years at Quail Hollow with T4, T11 and third place finishes. Lefty has sniffed around the top of leaderboards a few times this year and maybe this is the week he can break through.

Jamie Lovemark (40/1): Lovemark has been very solid lately with a pair of top 10s and an 18th-place finish in his last four starts. He was T2 last week at the rain-shortened Zurich Classic and I'll ride the hot hand here at a great price.

Kevin Streelman (80/1): Streelman hasn't finished worse than T14 here the last three years, including a pair of top 10s. Don't be surprised if he's hanging around on the first page of the leaderboard on Sunday.

    Daily Fantasy Roster

Robby's Daily Fantasy Roster is based off of a standard $50,000 game on DraftKings

Patrick Reed ($9,700): There are five players more expensive than him on the board, but I like Reed's value the most out of any of the top guys.

Phil Mickelson ($9,500): Again, he has not finished worse than T11 here the past three years. At worst, he should give you a very solid top 20.

Charles Howell III ($8,100): The guy is just money. He has 12 top 25s including four top 10s this season in 16 starts. He's pretty much an auto-selection for me at this point -- he also has pretty good history here with a T10 and T18 in 2013 and 2014.

Jamie Lovemark ($7,900): This is just hoping that he stays hot this season, as he's played this event once and missed the cut. I think he's good value, but I wouldn't argue with Justin Thomas or Webb Simpson in this spot.

Kevin Streelman ($7,500): Like I noted above, he hasn't finished worse than T14 at this event in the last three years. This feels like a steal at $7,500.

Jason Bohn ($7,100): This would be the ultimate feel good story of the season after Bohn suffered a heart attack at the Honda Classic. He's played twice since and hasn't found his rhythm, but he has back-to-back top 10 finishes at Quail Hollow, so I think there's some real value at this price.
