Florida State vs. Boston College line, odds: Football expert releases spread pick for Monday's game

SportsLine expert Emory Hunt, who was 93-78-5 (+777) on his college football picks in 2023, made his pick for Boston College vs. Florida State on Monday

After a devastating Week 0 loss to Georgia Tech, the Florida State Seminoles will look to dust themselves off and get back into the hunt in the ACC when they take on the Boston College Eagles on Monday. FSU (0-1, 0-1) was ranked No. 10 in the preseason AP Top 25 after a 13-1 season in 2023 but was upset 24-21 in Ireland. Now the Seminoles will battle a Boston College squad coming off a 7-6 season in which it won a bowl game, but head coach Jason Hafley left to become defensive coordinator of the Green Bay Packers and was replaced by Bill O'Brien.

Kickoff at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on Monday. The Seminoles are 16.5-point favorites in the latest Florida State vs. Boston College odds via SportsLine consensus, while the over/under for total points scored is 51. Before you make any Boston College vs. Florida State picks or college football predictions, you NEED to hear what football expert Emory Hunt has to say.

Hunt is the founder and CEO of Football Gameplan, which has been supplying analysis of all levels of football since 2007, and a former running back for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns. He knows the game from a player's perspective.

In addition, Hunt was 93-78-5 (+777) on his college football picks last year. Anyone who has followed him is way up.

Now, Hunt has analyzed Florida State vs. Boston College from every angle and just locked in his picks and predictions.

Hunt knows that the Seminoles looked a bit sluggish offensively in Ireland, producing only 291 yards of total offense on 58 offensive plays. Former Clemson and Oregon State quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei went 19-for-27 for 193 yards in his debut as the FSU starter and the 'Noles only averaged 3.2 yards per carry. However, now they'll benefit from returning home to Bobby Bowden Field, where Mike Norvell's offense averaged over 467 yards per game last season.

The expert also has taken into account that Boston College will welcome back starting quarterback Thomas Castellanos but in a new-look offense under O'Brien. Castellanos threw for 2,248 yards and 15 touchdowns but managed only 6.8 yards per attempt and threw 14 interceptions last season. However, he did rush for 1,113 yards and 13 more touchdowns and FSU allowed Georgia Tech to rush for 190 yards as a team in part because of Haynes King's mobility.

Now, Hunt has locked in a confident against-the-spread pick for Florida State vs. Boston College. We can tell you he's leaning Under on the total, but he knows a crucial X-factor makes one side of the spread a MUST-BACK. You ABSOLUTELY need to see what it is before locking in any picks of your own.
