Fantasy Football 2024 snake draft strategy: Tips for dominating your draft, including how to be flexible
When Fantasy football players are obsessing about their upcoming drafts, they fixate first on their first-round pick. Then they build on speculating how a snake draft might play out in the first few rounds and wonder what positions to focus on in each of the early rounds. "Should I start out with three wide receivers and a running back or with two of each?" That is usually the type of question a Fantasy analyst will get from a player in the weeks and days leading up to seasonal drafts.
You can have a loose plan for how to attack the first pick and the first round, but always be ready to adjust on the fly. Predicting what player may be taken ahead of your slot in the first round becomes less of a worthy exercise the further down you are in the draft order. Don't waste time trying to predict who will be taken ahead of your slot when drafting at No. 12. Heck, trying to forecast who may fall to the sixth slot might turn out to be a swing and a miss. Let the flow of the draft come to you.
We'll help you navigate a snake draft not just by offering tips, but also by pointing out specific player examples that will illustrate the recommended strategies and approaches. Tips for Superflex/two-QB drafters are also included.Â
