Denver Broncos-Buffalo Bills Odds and Picks Against the Spread

Denver's defense was expected to be elite, but the Broncos' offense is getting it done, too. Will the Broncos keep the momentum going at Buffalo?

The Broncos look to keep the momentum going after throttling the Cowboys 42-17, while the Bills just want the offense to hold its own after losing a 9-3 decision at Carolina last week.

LINE MOVEMENT, TRENDS

Buffalo opened between +1 and +2.5 depending on the sportsbook, but the line has almost unanimously moved up to +3. The points line dropped from 41 to 40.

Denver fans are accustomed to strong starts lately. In their last eight games played in September, the Broncos are 7-0-1 against the spread.

The Over is looking good here, too. It has hit in the last five Broncos games in September, and is 8-1 in the Bills’ last nine home games.

BREAKDOWN

We all knew the Broncos would have a good defense coming in, but their offense is holding its own, too.

Trevor Siemian tossed a career-high four TDs, part of an efficient, 22-for-32, 231-yard showing against Dallas.

We’re just two weeks in, but Siemian, a 2015 seventh-round pick who was the surprise choice to replace the retired Peyton Manning in 2016, is ranked No. 5 in Pro Football Focus QB rating.

Siemian will face a tougher test this week. Buffalo is No. 2 in yards allowed (234.5) and No. 4 points allowed (10.5 per game).

While Denver’s offense has been doing its part behind a stout defense, Buffalo has not had the same synergy.

The Bills’ offense did enough for a 23-13, season-opening win over the Jets 21-13, but floundered to a 9-3 defeat in Week 2.

Tyrod Taylor threw for just 125 yards, but star RB LeSean McCoy was even worse, garnering nine yards on 12 carries, one week after totaling 110 yards on the ground. They’ll face a defense that ranks No. 4 in yards allowed (258.5)

Each offense is dealing with an injury at the key position of the line.

Broncos rookie first-round left tackle Garret Boles suffered a lower leg bruise and is “week to week,” coach Vance Joseph said.

Bills left tackle Cordy Glenn reinjured an ankle that had bothered him through training camp and is also unlikely to play.
