Clemson vs. NC State odds, line: Advanced computer college football model releases spread pick for Saturday's ACC game

SportsLine's projection model has generated selections for the matchup between the Tigers and Wolfpack

The No. 21 Clemson Tigers and NC State Wolfpack open ACC play on Saturday afternoon when the two teams collide at Memorial Stadium in Clemson, S.C. After a season-opening loss to No. 1 Georgia, the Tigers (1-1) bounced back with a 66-20 victory two weeks ago against Appalachian State. They are coming off an open week. Meanwhile the Wolfpack (2-1) enter Saturday's matchup off a 30-20 win over Louisiana Tech last week.

Kickoff is noon ET. The Tigers are 20.5-point favorites in the latest Clemson vs. NC State odds, while the over/under for total points scored is 46.5. (See up-to-date odds for every game this week on our college football odds page.)

Before making any NC State vs. Clemson picks or college football predictions, you NEED to see the predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The model simulates every FBS college football game 10,000 times. Since its inception, it has generated a profit of over $2,000 for $100 players on its top-rated college football picks against the spread. It is also coming off a profitable 13-9 season on top-rated spread picks and is off to a 5-2 start on over/under picks this season. Anyone who has followed it has seen strong returns.

The model knows that the Tigers have dominated the head-to-head series recently against NC State. Clemson has won nine of the last 11 games in the series and 16 of the last 19. The Tigers also are 27-11 all-time at home against the Wolfpack.

But the model also has taken into account that NC State has a receiver with a nose for the end zone in KC Concepcion. The 5-foot-11, 189-pound sophomore from Charlotte has 13 touchdown receptions since the beginning of last season, which ranks second in the country over that time, behind only Arizona's Tetairoa McMillan (14). This season Concepcion already has three touchdown catches, which ranks 13th in the nation.

For Saturday, the model has set its sights on Clemson vs. NC State. We can tell you it is leaning Over the total, predicting a combined 47 points, and it also says one side of the spread hits in more than 70% of simulations. You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any college football picks.
