Canucks vs. Oilers odds, 2023-24 NHL lines: Advanced computer model reveals hockey picks for Monday's matchup

The SportsLine Projection Model has a pick for Monday's Stanley Cup playoff Game 7 matchup between the Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers

The Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks will face off one final time in Game 7 of the Western Conference semifinals on Monday. The Oilers held off being eliminated from the Stanley Cup playoffs with a 5-1 win on home ice in Game 6. Connor McDavid had three assists in that game as Evan Bouchard, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Dylan Holloway, Zach Hyman and Evander Kane all found the back of the net.

Opening faceoff at Rogers Arena is set for 9 p.m. ET. Edmonton is a -161 favorite (risk $161 to win $100) on the money line in the latest Canucks vs. Oilers odds from SportsLine consensus while Vancouver is a +136 underdog. The over/under for total goals scored is 5.5 and Edmonton is a -1.5 (+164) favorite on the puck line. (See the latest lines for every game on our NHL odds page).

Before making any Canucks vs. Oilers picks, you NEED to see the latest NHL predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

SportsLine's model simulates every NHL game 10,000 times, taking into account factors like current form, individual matchups, injuries and short- and long-term trends when making NHL picks. It entered the 2024 NHL playoffs on a 7-4 run on top-rated puck-line picks.

The model knows the expectations for the McDavid and the Oilers are very high. They haven't made it to the Stanley Cup Final since 2006 and haven't won the title since 1990, but they are playing well at the right time. McDavid leads all players in assists this postseason (19) while Hyman leads with 10 goals and Leon Draisaitl tops everyone with 23 total points. Every game of the series leading up to Game 6 had been decided by one goal, but the Oilers bucked that trend by scoring five and holding Vancouver to a single goal.

However, the model also knows it will be hard to keep the Canucks quiet on their home ice. Quinn Hughes and company were tied 1-1 against Edmonton after the first period in Game 6 but fell flat over the next 40 minutes. Rick Tocchet won't want to let his team make the same mistake with a Western Conference Final bid on the line, especially against a team they swept in the regular season. Expect a rebound effort from Vancouver on Monday evening.

Now, the model has set its sights on Canucks vs, Oilers. We can tell you it's leaning Over on the goal total, but it also says one side of the money line has ALL the value! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any NHL picks of your own.

So who wins Oilers vs. Canucks on Monday, and which side of the money line has ALL the value? ... Join SportsLine right now to find out which side of the Oilers vs. Canucks money line you should be all over, all from the model that has simulated this matchup 10,000 times!
