2025 Farmers Insurance Open odds, predictions: Top picks, bets, longshots to back at this week's PGA Tour event
The PGA Tour will stay in Southern California this week for the fourth event of the 2025 season, with the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open set to begin on Wednesday. San Diego's Torrey Pines will host the event, using the North and South courses over the first two days before moving to just the South course for the final two rounds. The final round will take place on Saturday to clear the way for the NFL on Sunday.
Ludvig Åberg is getting set for his second full season on the PGA Tour after finishing as the runner-up to Scottie Scheffler at the Masters last year. He is a 10-1 co-favorite with Hideki Matsuyama in the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open odds, followed by Tony Finau (20-1) and Sungjae Im (20-1). Some other contenders in the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open field include Keegan Bradley (22-1), Will Zalatoris (22-1) and Max Greyserman (25-1).
Before locking in any 2025 Farmers Insurance Open picks, make sure you see the PGA Tour predictions and best bets from golf insider Patrick McDonald.
McDonald joined CBS Sports as a golf writer in 2022 after stops at NBC Sports and RyderCup.com. Covering the sport from a broader perspective, McDonald still likes to dip his toes into the betting pools on a weekly basis between the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and more. Featured weekly on the Early Wedge, he gave out numerous winners in 2024, including Jake Knapp (50-1) at the Mexico Open and Xander Schauffele (20-1) at the PGA Championship. He already nailed Sepp Straka as a 66-1 longshot in The American Express last week. Anyone who followed his lead could have been WAY UP!
Now, McDonald has been digging into the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open field to find the best betting value and just locked in his best bets and longshots to back.
This week, McDonald loves the value of Keegan Bradley. "I can't quit Bradley, certainly not now. The former PGA Championship winner had a great run in Hawaii, as he contended at the Sony Open and played well at the Sentry in back-to-back weeks," McDonald told SportsLine. "He should be refreshed following his week off and rearing to go at a golf course where he has found plenty of good results. Since 2017, Bradley has nabbed three top-five finishes at this golf tournament, including a runner-up result to Homa in 2023. The captain has everything clicking in his game and knows how to win down the stretch on Sunday."
Moreover, McDonald is jumping on several underdogs, including one longshot who's priced at more than 50-1. This player "flying under the radar for some odd reason" and is a longshot who could surprise. If he does, you could cash in HUGE. You need to see who it is before locking in any 2025 Farmers Insurance Open picks of your own.
