Monday's 2024 Paris Olympics schedule starts out with hard-hitting action. The events SportsLine expert Mike Tierney is keeping an eye on include women's 3-on-3 basketball and men's volleyball. The games on the docket include Spain and the United States in a women's 3-on-3 basketball semifinal, and a men's volleyball quarterfinal featuring the United States and Brazil. Things didn't look too good for the Americans when the 3-on-3 basketball tournament began, as the United States started pool play 0-3. 

They then defeated Spain, France, Canada and China to reach Saturday's play-in game. In a rematch with the Chinese, the United States prevailed 21-13. Spain enters as the second seed, also going 4-3, but was helped by tiebreakers and avoided the play-in. The bronze medal game is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET, while the gold medal game is at 4:05 p.m. ET.
