2024 Australian Open men's final odds, picks: Sinner vs. Medvedev best bets and predictions from proven expert

Tennis betting expert Jose Onorato, who is 128-90-7 -- up 69.25 units -- since 2022, has released his picks for the 2024 Australian Open men's final between Janik Sinner and Daniil Medvedev

Italian youngster Jannik Sinner will battle Russia's Daniil Medvedev in the 2024 Australian Open men's singles final Sunday at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia. The 22-year-old Sinner's surprisingly lopsided 6-1, 6-2, 6-7(6), 6-3 victory ended Novak Djokovic's 33-match win streak at Mebourne Park dating to 2018. Medvedev battled back to defeat Alexander Zverev 5-7, 3-6, 7-6(4), 7-6(5), 6-3 in the other semifinal.

First serve is scheduled for 3:30 a.m. ET. Sinner is the -300 favorite (risk $300 to win $100) in the latest Sinner vs. Medvedev odds, while Medvedev is a +230 underdog. The over/under for total games is 38.5 (-115), with Sinner favored by 4.5 games (-125).

Before you make any Medvedev vs. Sinner picks or 2024 Australian Open predictions, make sure you see what tennis expert Jose Onorato has to say.

Onorato grew up playing competitive tennis in Caracas, Venezuela. After coming to the U.S., he trained with famed coach Nick Bollettieri at IMG Academy in Florida and faced players like Robert Farah, now one of the world's top-ranked doubles players.

Onorato, who holds dual degrees in finance and economics from the University of Miami, does extensive research before placing any tennis bets. He studies current form, players' tendencies on a particular surface, weather conditions and many other relevant factors. That systematic approach has helped Onorato go 128-90-7 -- up 69.25 units -- since 2022.

Onorato knows Sinner has a ton of confidence after beating Djokovic, a 10-time Australian Open champion. It was Sinner's third victory in four head-to-head meetings since a loss to Djokovic in last year's Wimbledon semifinals. The Italian will be facing an opponent who could be fatigued, as the semifinal match with Zverev started after Sinner's victory and last more than four hours.

But Onorato also has considered that Medvedev in his third final in Melbourne, while Sinner is making his first appearance in a Grand Slam final. Medvedev is seeking his second Grand Slam title to go with his 2021 U.S. Open, and this is sixth final appearance overall. The Russian has shown a lot of fight this year in Melbourne, coming back from two sets down in two of his victories.

For Sunday, Onorato has scrutinized the Sinner vs. Medvedev matchup in the men's final of the 2024 Australian Open and released his coveted top picks. We can tell you that he is leaning Under 39.5 Total Games (-120), but he has two STRONG picks, on the winner and handicap. You ABSOLUTELY need to see what they are before locking in any 2024 Australian Open picks of your own!
