2024-25 College Football Playoff Bracket: Model reveals picks, predictions from 10,000 simulations

The SportsLine Projection Model, which has generated well over $2,000 for $100 college football bettors since its inception, has revealed its picks for the 2024-25 College Football Playoff Bracket

The 2024-25 College Football Playoff Bracket has been revealed, with 12 teams competing in the expanded format for the first time. The top four seeds earned first-round byes, while the other eight teams will compete for quarterfinal sports. No. 1 Oregon, No. 2 Georgia, No. 3 Boise State and No. 4 Arizona State only need three wins to claim the title after clinching byes by winning their respective conferences. The first-round action begins on Dec. 20 when No. 7 seed Notre Dame hosts No. 10 seed Indiana, while No. 6 seed Penn State faces No. 11 seed SMU on Saturday afternoon.

The first round concludes with No. 5 Texas vs. No. 12 Clemson and No. 8 Ohio State vs. No. 9 Tennessee. Some teams have easier paths to the title game than others, but one big upset could shake up the College Football Playoff bracket. Oregon and Texas are the +360 co-favorites to win it all, followed by Georgia (+500) and Ohio State (+500).

Before making any college football picks for the 2024-25 College Football Playoff Bracket, be sure to see what the SportsLine Projection Model has to say.

The model simulates every FBS college football game 10,000 times. Since its inception, it has generated a profit of well over $2,000 for $100 players on its top-rated college spread football picks, and it went a profitable 43-34 on top-rated picks during the 2024 regular season. Anyone following has seen impressive returns!

Now, it has studied the latest college football odds (see the latest college football lines for each matchup this week on our college football odds page), simulated every single play for every College Football Playoff game, and the results are in.

One team the model is high on for the College Football Playoff is No. 7 seed Notre Dame, who wins and covers the 7.5-point spread against No. 10 seed Indiana before upsetting No. 2 seed Georgia in the quarterfinals. The Fighting Irish are riding a 10-game winning streak entering the CFP, with nine of those wins coming by at least two touchdowns. They have an ideal first-round matchup at home before facing a Georgia team that has looked shaky on multiple occasions this season.

The model has also simulated the rest of the College Football Playoff Bracket, and it's calling for a team outside the top five to make a stunning run to the title game!
