College football's bowl game season is here, with the best teams from around the country matching up in showcases throughout the holiday season. The 12-team College Football Playoff is also just around the corner, and the sport's champion will soon be crowned. 

The first bowl game is Saturday's Salute to Veterans Bowl, featuring South Alabama against Western Michigan. The annual Army-Navy game is also that day.
