2023 U.S. Open men's odds, picks: Acclaimed expert releases pre-tournament selections, best bets

Tennis betting expert Jose Onorato, who went 96-67-7 in 2022 and correctly picked Aryna Sabalenka to win the Australian Open final in January, has released his futures plays for the 2023 U.S. Open men's draw

The 2023 U.S. Open begins on Monday at Flushing Meadows in New York. 23-time major champion Novak Djokovic headlines the field alongside 2022 champion Carlos Alcaraz. Alcaraz is the No. 1 seed in the event, and the stars will be flanked by a tremendously deep and talented field.

Djokovic enters the 2023 U.S. Open men's singles tournament as a +120 betting favorite (risk $100 to win $110) from the latest odds. Alcaraz is next at +150, with Daniil Medvedev listed at +900. Other U.S. Open favorites include Jannik Sinner (+1100), Alexander Zverev (+2500), and Stefanos Tsitsipas (+3000).

Before you make any U.S. Open picks or predictions, you must see the U.S. Open 2023 picks from tennis handicapper Jose Onorato.

Onorato grew up playing competitive tennis in Caracas, Venezuela. After coming to the United States, he trained with famed coach Nick Bollettieri at IMG Academy in Florida and faced players like Robert Farah, now one of the world's top-ranked doubles players.

Onorato, who holds dual degrees in finance and economics from the University of Miami, does extensive research before placing any tennis bets. He studies current form, a player's tendencies on a particular surface, weather conditions and many other relevant factors. That systematic approach helped Onorato go 96-67-7 -- up 60.42 units -- in 2022.

Earlier in 2023, he correctly picked Aryna Sabalenka (-140) to win the Australian Open final over Elena Rybakina and to do so two sets to one (+325).

Now, Onorato has broken down the latest odds for the men's draw of the 2023 U.S. Open and has identified his futures plays.

One surprise: Onorato is fading Carlos Alcaraz when it comes to pre-tournament futures. "There are safer bets than the 20-year-old to win this US Open," Onorato told SportsLine.

However, Onorato has thoroughly studied the men's draw and has identified two future plays, including one on a an overlooked player who has the skills "ideal for hard courts!" You ABSOLUTELY need to see what they are before locking in any 2023 U.S. Open picks of your own!
