2023 Travelers Championship odds, picks: Proven model reveals projected leaderboard, surprising PGA golf predictions

The SportsLine Projection Model simulated the 2023 Travelers Championship 10,000 times and came up with a shocking leaderboard

The 2023 Travelers Championship tees off Thursday, June 22, from TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut. Scottie Scheffler is the 6-1 favorite in the latest PGA Tour odds at Caesars Sportsbook, followed by Patrick Cantlay (9-1), Rory McIlroy (10-1), Jon Rahm (10-1) and Xander Schauffele (12-1).

We simulated the 2023 Travelers Championship 10,000 times, and there are some MAJOR surprises. Join SportsLine here to see the model's shocking 2023 Travelers Championship projected leaderboard.

Our proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been RED-HOT since the PGA Tour resumed in June of 2020. In fact, the model is up over $10,000 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.

McClure's model predicted Jon Rahm would finish on top of the leaderboard at the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions and The American Express. And at the 2023 Masters, the model was all over Rahm's second career major victory heading into the weekend. Rahm was two strokes off the lead heading into the third round, but the model still projected him as the winner. It was the second straight Masters win for the model, which also nailed Scottie Scheffler winning in 2022.

In addition, the model included Nick Taylor in its best bets to win the 2023 RBC Canadian Open. That bet hit at +7000, and for the entire tournament, McClure's best bets returned nearly $1,900. McClure's best bets also included Jason Day (17-1) winning outright at the 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson, even though he hadn't won a PGA Tour event since 2018.

This same model has also nailed a whopping nine majors entering the weekend! Anyone who has followed it has seen MASSIVE returns!

Each champion of the Travelers Championship since 2016 teed it up at the U.S. Open the week before. This year's U.S. Open entrants will fly across the country from Los Angeles to Connecticut, including Schauffele, the defending champion. Some young golfers are looking to make their mark this week as well, especially after Michael Thorbjornsen finished in fourth place last season. He won this year's Pac-12 Championship and was the conference's player of the year. Benjamin James, Sam Bennett and Ludvig Aberg are among Thorbjornsen's peers in the field.

One major surprise the model is calling for at the 2023 Travelers Championship: Cantlay, an eight-time PGA Tour champion and one of the top favorites, struggles mightily and doesn't even crack the top five! Another surprise: Collin Morikawa, a 28-1 longshot, makes a strong run at the title. He's a target for anyone looking for a HUGE payday.

Also, the model is targeting THREE OTHER golfers with odds of 20-1 or longer to make a surprising run! Anyone who backs these golfers could hit it BIG. You ABSOLUTELY need to see who they are before locking in any 2023 Travelers Championship picks!

So who wins the Travelers Championship 2023, and which HUGE longshots make a serious run at the title? ... Join SportsLine right now to see who you can bank on to win the 2023 Travelers Championship, and see which longshots make a run at the title, all from the model that's nailed 9 majors, including this year's Masters!
