2023 Concacaf Gold Cup Mexico vs. Qatar odds, picks, predictions: Best bets for Sunday's group finale from proven soccer expert

Martin Green has identified his best bets for Mexico vs. Qatar in the Concacaf Gold Cup

Mexico aim to finish the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup group stage with three convincing victories, and Qatar are next on the list. The teams meet Sunday in a Group B finale at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., and El Tri (2-0-0) have already clinched a spot in the quarterfinals. Qatar (0-1-1) pulled off a 1-1 draw with Honduras on Wednesday, but only an upset victory and help from Los Catrachos would give them any shot at the next round.

Kickoff is set for 9 p.m. ET. Caesars Sportsbook lists Mexico as -300 favorites (risk $295 to win $100) in its latest Mexico vs. Qatar odds, and Qatar are +750 underdogs. A draw is priced at +390, and the over/under for total goals scored is 3.5. (For more soccer coverage, click here.)

Before you lock in your Qatar vs. Mexico picks or Concacaf Gold Cup predictions, you need to see what proven soccer insider Martin Green has to say.

After working in the sports betting industry for several years, Green became a professional sports writer and handicapper and has covered the game worldwide. Since last year's World Cup, Green has been profitable in multiple areas on his soccer picks, including the Champions League (+4.78 units), the FA Cup (+3.07), the EFL Cup (+3.64), Euro 2024 qualifiers (+3.01) and the Europa League (+1.60).

Green knows that El Tri are likely to rest some players for the next round but that there's still plenty of talent for interim manager Jaime Lozano to draw from. Luis Romo had two goals against Honduras, and Orbelin Pineda   and Henry Martin also are among the scorers so far. The Mexicans have beaten Honduras 4-0 and Haiti 3-1. They have outshot their opponents 49-12 in the two games, putting 16 shots on target and allowing three.

Green has also considered that Qatar could have an advantage as the only team with something to play for Sunday. Mexico are likely to alter the lineup, while Qatar will field their best 11. Yousuf Abdurisag is suspended, so fellow group-stage goal-scorer Tameem Mansour Al-Abdullah should lead the attack. Qatar will play a physical match. They have committed 30 fouls and seen nine yellow cards (and a red) in the first two games.

Now, Green has taken a close look at the Concacaf Gold Cup 2023 group match and broken down Mexico vs. Qatar from all sides. He is leaning Over the total and has a pair of best bets, plus his full breakdown of this Concacaf Gold Cup group-stage finale. You ABSOLUTELY need to see his picks and analysis before making any selections of your own.
