The PGA Tour playoffs start next week, and while most of the top players are resting, many up-and-coming  and lesser-known players have an opportunity at this week's 2022 Wyndham Championship. When the tournament tees off Thursday at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C., some of the PGA Tour's fan favorites are battling to finish above the No. 125 cutoff spot. They include Webb Simpson (117th), Rickie Fowler (123rd) and Cameron Champ (130th). Will Zalatoris, 17th in the World Golf Ranking, is the top player in the Wyndham Championship 2022 field. He will be joined by players like defending champion Kevin Kisner, 2019 winner J.T. Poston, Harold Varner and Shane Lowry.  

Caesars Sportsbook lists Zalatoris (16-1), Lowry (16-1) and Sungjae Im (16-1) as the favorites in its latest 2022 Wyndham Championship odds. Simpson (20-1) and Billy Horschel (20-1) also are top contenders in the Wyndham Championship 2022 field.
