2022 Honda Classic golf odds, Fantasy rankings: Player predictions for your PGA Tour picks from golf expert

Riley Gates has his finger on the pulse of Fantasy golf, and he just revealed his top 20 golfers for this week's tournament, which tees off Thursday at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

The PGA Tour moves into its Florida Swing this week when the 2022 Honda Classic tees off Thursday at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens. Matt Jones is the defending champion, and the field includes Brooks Koepka, former Honda winner Sungjae Im and several notable European Tour players making their season debuts.

Caesars Sportsbook lists Im as the 12-1 favorite in its latest 2022 Honda Classic odds, with Berger the second favorite at 18-1. Joaquin Niemann, who won last week at the Genesis, is at 20-1 along with Koepka and Louis Oosthuizen. Before you lock in any Fantasy golf rankings or bet the 2022 Honda Classic, you HAVE TO see what fantasy expert Riley Gates has to say.

Gates is a writer for 247Sports and has covered a range of sports for nearly five years. He has followed golf closely for much longer and has a profound knowledge of the sport. He also knows what it takes to win, on the course and in fantasy sports, and he has been on fire this season.

In his picks for the WM Phoenix Open, nine of Gates' selections finished in the top 14, and his top five all posted top-10 finishes. The previous week, in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, eight of Gates' selections finished in the top 16.

He also NAILED his picks at the Sentry Tournament of Champions, with four of his top seven picks posting top-five finishes. And at the Hero World Challenge, again four of his top seven finished in the top five. Anyone who has followed Gates is WAY UP!

Now, the expert has ranked his top 20 golfers for the 2022 Honda Classic, and you'll really want to see who he is backing.

We can tell you that Gates likes what he saw from Oosthuizen in Phoenix and is backing him for a strong run. The South African stepped right in after almost three months off and tied for 14th at the Phoenix Open. He also comes off a very strong season last year. Gates expects him to keep up his solid play, and highly recommends Oosthuizen for your Fantasy golf picks.

On the other hand, the expert is fading Berger, ranking him outside his top five despite his status as the second favorite. Berger has had some back issues, and while he has deemed himself fit to play, he missed the cut in Phoenix. That was his only event this month, and he could have rust to knock off, so Gates has several other players you should bank on for your Fantasy golf picks for this week!

Instead, the fantasy expert has among his top picks a player who is a 30-1 long shot! This golfer's recent results haven't measured up to his talent. Gates expects him to turn things around and sees him as a must-play for your Fantasy golf picks for this week's tournament at PGA National! You ABSOLUTELY need to see who it is and check out Gates' top picks before you bet the 2022 Honda Classic or enter any Fantasy golf picks.
