World No. 2 Collin Morikawa returns to the PGA Tour this week when he tees off in a star-studded Genesis Invitational, which begins on Thursday at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif. The 25-year-old Morikawa has not played an official tournament in the continental United States since the Tour Championship in September. The Genesis is the hometown tournament for Morikawa, who was born and raised in the Los Angeles area. 

Morikawa has been installed as the 20-1 fifth choice in the 2022 Genesis Invitational odds from Caesars Sportsbook. World No. 1 Jon Rahm is the 9-1 favorite in the 120-player Genesis Invitational field, while reigning FedEx Cup champion Patrick Cantlay is the 12-1 second choice. On the other hand, Gates is high on Will Zalatoris, who is listed at 25-1. "Zalatoris is first in strokes gained: tee-to-green and strokes gained: approach," he says. "Expect another low score." Gates has Zalatoris ranked in the top 10.
