The first day of the 2022 College World Series saw a pair of surprises, with unseeded Notre Dame and Oklahoma both advancing to the winners bracket with victories Friday. Now fifth-seeded Texas A&M and No. 9 seed Texas will face off in an elimination game Sunday in Omaha, Neb. Notre Dame got strong pitching to shut down the Longhorns' powerful offense in a 7-3 victory to start things off Friday. Then Oklahoma jumped out to a big lead early and cruised past the Aggies 13-8.
