2022 Camellia Bowl Bowl Georgia Southern vs. Buffalo line, picks: Predictions and best bets for Tuesday's game from advanced computer model

SportsLine's projection model has generated its selections for Tuesday's Camellia Bowl between the Georgia Southern Eagles and Buffalo Bulls in Montgomery, Ala.

The 2022 Camellia Bowl features two 6-6 teams, as the Buffalo Bulls take on the Georgia Southern Eagles at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Ala. Both teams faded late in the season but will be looking to wrap up with a winning record. Buffalo (6-6, 5-3 MAC) lost three straight before rallying to beat Kent State 23-22 in its finale to clinch bowl eligibility. The Eagles (6-6, 3-5 Sun Belt) defeated Appalachian State 52-48 in two overtimes in their final regular-season game to snap a three-game slide.

Kickoff is set for Tuesday at noon. ET Caesars Sportsbook lists the Eagles as 5-point favorites in its latest Georgia Southern vs. Buffalo odds, and the over/under for total points scored in the Camellia Bowl is set at 67.5. (see up-to-date odds for bowl season on our college football odds page).

Before you make any Buffalo vs. Georgia Southern picks or Camellia Bowl predictions, you MUST check out the college football predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every FBS college football game 10,000 times. Over the past six-plus years, the proprietary computer model has generated a stunning profit of almost $2,500 for $100 players on its top-rated college football picks against the spread. Anyone who has followed it has seen HUGE returns.

The model knows the Eagles are led by former Buffalo quarterback Kyle Vantrease, and he is leading one of the top five passing offenses in the nation. The Eagles average 469 yards per game (19th in FBS), with 327 coming through the air. They score almost 34 points per contest, while Buffalo averages 29. Vantrease has 3,901 passing yards and 25 touchdowns, and Khaleb Hood leads the receivers with 80 catches for 896 yards.

The model also has taken into account that Buffalo has a solid, balanced offense and an opportunistic defense. Running back Mike Washington has 606 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. The Eagles allow 5 yards per carry. Cole Snyder has thrown for 2,765 yards and 17 touchdowns, and four receivers have at least 200 receiving yards. Justin Marshall leads the way with 53 catches for 710 yards and eight TDs.

Now, the model has broken down the Georgia Southern vs. Buffalo Camellia Bowl matchup from every angle. We can tell you the model is leaning under the total, and it also says one side of the spread hits in almost 60% of simulations! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any college football picks.
