2021 Travelers Championship props, picks: Data scientist reveals his favorites from the PGA Tour field to win, matchup plays
Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka highlight a strong post-major field when the  2021 Traveler Championship tees off Thursday at TPC River Highlands outside Hartford, Conn.Â
Johnson and DeChambeau are the 14-1 co-favorites in the latest 2021 Travelers Championship odds from William Hill Sportsbook, followed by Patrick Cantlay (16-1), Paul Casey (18-1) and Koepka (20-1).Â
Before you make any 2021 Travelers Championship picks or bet this tournament, you MUST see what SportsLine analyst Rick Gehman has to say, given his uncanny track record of success.
With his data-driven approach to betting golf, Gehman routinely crushes sportsbooks. Since the calendar turned to 2020, Gehman's bets have cashed more than $1,500 for $100 players!Â
The golf expert has picked 13 outright winners in the past 18 months and four this season, including Viktor Hovland at 25-1 at the Mayakoba Golf Classic and Daniel Berger at 20-1 at Pebble Beach! He JUST missed on nailing the winner in consecutive February events, with Hovland and Tony Finau finishing as runners-up on bets that would have cashed more than $1,900 on their own.
Gehman's biggest success this season has come on matchup plays. He had a run of four straight winning weeks, going 11-2 on the picks, before the one-off Palmetto Championship, and he hit two of three last week.
That included Louis Oosthuizen over Paul Casey, and while Casey played well to finish T-7, Oosthuizen held the lead most of the day Sunday and finished as runner-up. Gehman also took Collin Morikawa over former Open champion Jordan Spieth, and Morikawa tied for fourth while Spieth came in at T-19. Â
He was right on the cusp of a HUGE week at the U.S. Open, with two of his four outright picks finishing in the top four and Brooks Koepka losing his matchup despite only three golfer finishing ahead of him. Unfortunately, one of those was winner Jon Rahm, costing Gehman the +138 payoff. Â Â Â Â
Gehman has been on a roll all year! At Pebble Beach, Gehman made a profit of $400 thanks to backing Berger. He cashed top-10 bets on Hovland and Will Zalatoris at Torrey Pines. At The American Express, his bets brought in nearly $600 when he hit a top-five wager on Patrick Cantlay and top-10s on Abraham Ancer and Francesco Molinari. Anyone who followed Gehman's advice cashed in HUGE!
Now Gehman, whose models have produced four outright winners this season, has analyzed the latest 2021 Travelers Championship odds from William Hill Sportsbook and revealed his picks to win.
We can tell you Gehman is backing Paul Casey (-125) to win his matchup over Patrick Reed (+100). Casey remains one the tour's best ball-strikers and seems to play well every time he tees it up. Reed, meanwhile, has three top-10 finishes in his past nine starts but also has missed three cuts. Reed tied for 19th at Torrey Pines while Casey finished T-7, and the golf expert sees no reason to expect a different result in Hartford.
Gehman also has isolated three players to win, including a MASSIVE long shot who comes in at more than 60-1! This young golfer is hitting the ball as well as he ever has and is starting to show some progress on the greens. He could be poised for a breakthrough! You ABSOLUTELY need to see who Gehman is backing and check out his detailed bets and picks before you make your 2021 Travelers Championship predictions!
